How to run Facebook ads for beginners

The other day I was talking with a LeadSync client, she was trying to target high net worth individuals with one of her Facebook ad campaigns. High Net Worth Individuals is really just a fancy way of saying "wealthy"; People who have the means to purchase high-cost products or services such as real estate or new cars.

It has occurred to me that this is something I have done regularly when running ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram in the past, and it is something that many companies struggle with.

Advertisers often try to target people based on their profession: CEO, CMO, founders, to name a few.

All this is fine in theory, however, you are counting on people who entered their profession in the work and education section of their Facebook profile. Not only that, we count on them to keep it updated.

1. Frequent International Travelers

It is a "behaviour". Facebook knows where you are unless you turn off the location option in app settings. I have no idea what the definition of "frequent" is, however, this behavioral targeting has worked for me in the past in large countries where it's expensive to travel to another country. Australia is a good example. It may not be effective in Europe for obvious reasons (nor during travel restrictions during COVID).

2. Advanced device users

Targeting high-end devices by itself is not necessarily an indicator of wealth. However, combined with another targeting option, it can help improve your reach. The latest Samsung and Apple phones are very expensive. Ownership of high-end devices will also vary from country to country. This audience targeting option could work well in emerging countries, for example.

2. Go to the Facebook page for which you want to add an admin.
3. Click on the "Settings" option located at the top right corner of the page.
4. In the left-hand column of the settings page, click on "Page Roles."
5. In the "Assign a New Page Role" section, enter the name or email address of the person you want to add as an admin. Make sure the person is connected with you on Facebook.
6.  The available roles are Admin, Editor, Moderator, Advertiser, and Analyst. Admins have the highest level of access and control over the page.
7. Click on the "Add" button.
8. Facebook may prompt you to enter your password for security purposes. Enter your password if requested.
9. Once you've entered the password, click on the "Submit" button.
